There's something about Christmas which makes me revert to French. It's probably because it reminds me of starting to love wine at home - the 'ole man is a complete Francophile. BURGUNDY is my dinner fare. White Burgundy Chardonnay and Red Burgundy Pinot hits different. For entertaining, I love rolling out some RHONE VALLEY, the lush, Grenache-led wines of the South and the peppery Syrahs of the North, and even a bit of oily Marsanne or Rousssane White. This is the time of the year I drink BORDEAUX. Sipping a complex and robust Claret while sitting around nibbling cheese and other goodies. I love monitoring the decanter - E.T. is nearly over and the wine hasn't opened up yet? It's ok, we'll put Close Encounters on after. Stunning, stunning, stunning options here!
