
Northern Rhone Valley
The Rhone Valley is split in 2, with the Northern Rhone housing the famous appellations of Hermitage, St. Joseph and Cote Rotie which stipulate Syrah only (Rotie allows from Viognier) and Condrieu, which is famous white from Viognier. The North produces only about 5% of the Rhone Valleys production, and it is mostly made from peppery Syrah.
