Yalumba is one of the biggest names in Australian wine, specialising in big volume, but very, very well made wines out of the famed area of South Australia. Yalumba Organic Cabernet Merlot 2020 will appeal to anyone like me who likes a drop from the new world.
I love this wine, and it's in a really good spot at the moment. Very robust on the nose. Despite being 6 years old and seeing a tiny bit age on the nose, the colour is deep and luscious. On the palate it is very clean, loads of black and blue fruits, chocolate notes from the Merlot. Under screwcap. If you like Aussie gear, this is for you.
