Familie Lieubeau / Muscadet

I was asked recently did i Want to try some Muscadet, I said no, as I already have one. I was told I need to try these six Muscadet. Six! From the same producer! I trudged up like it was the first day of school after a long hot Summer. Six Muscadets later I felt like a mug. This tasting was remarkable. I have NEVER encountered this depth and complexity in Muscadet. The best part is, that they retain that sense of drinking pleasure the expression is famous for.



At €150 in the mixed 6-Pack, it is more expensive than your usual Muscadet, but it is essentially the appellations apex - the doesn't get you very much in Burgundy for example! All organic, they are fascinating and drink beautifully, and the 3 wax topped small cru wines would hold their own against anybody. See below for some more info.
