M is for Merlot

In 2004 Paul Giamatti screamed I am NOT drinking any fucking Merlot! in the movie Sideways, causing sales of Merlot to collapse (even though the greatest bottle in his collection is a Merlot - watch the movie - it's good!). It's finally come back, and why wouldn't it? A good natured, plummy grape, grows everywhere and works well with others.
 



Starting in the Americas, Camino is from Chile, while Camp is from California, decidedly New World offerings. From France, Haunt Dambert is a blend with a couple other varieties, Domaine de Seailles 'Cubik' is 100% pure Merlot and Beau Vallon is a Right Bank whopper from Saint Emilon. Finishing off with Via Romana, a Northern Italian Merlot - give Merlot a chance!
