CHATEAU LAURENCE is the pet project of Hubert de Bouard, one of the owners of famed house Chateau Angelus, and one of the most sought after consultants in the wine world today. 100% Merlot off a tiny 6.6 hectare plot along the river Laurence, at the water's edge. It is an exceptional site with perfect, chalky, clay soils, all of which makes for perfect conditions to coax Merlot to it's best.
2016 has become quite the connoisseur vintages over the last few years. Highly rated initially but in the shadow of 2015, the wines have blossomed in the bottle. Chateau Laurence 'Petite Laurence' is showing beautiful tertiary aged character and now at 10 years old, it is in a great spot for drinking. 2019 is one of the great modern Bordeaux vintages. This wine has plenty of stuffing and will go for longer than the 2016 if required.
