Rhone Valley
The Rhone Valley is split in 2, with the Northern Rhone housing the famous appellations of Hermitage, St. Joseph and Cote Rotie which stipulate Syrah only (Rotie allows from Viognier) and Condrieu, which is famous white from Viognier. The South is generally Grenache-led blends, it contains the bohemouth appellation of Cote-du-Rhone as well as the famous Chateauneuf-du-Pape and up and coming Gigondas and Lirac.
