S is for Syrah / Shiraz
€118,00
Syrah is due a return - when and why did it fall out of favour? Responsible for some of the world’s most famous and sought after full bodied red wines, Syrah is an unmistakable, majestic grape.
Syrah is full bodied, highly structured and dry. Dark blue and black fruits predominate, and it is known for its peppery character. Initially from the Rhone valley, the North makes varietal Syrah, while the South blends it with an array of varieties. Known as Shiraz in Australia, the New World produces a riper easier drinking style but with punch.
