WHAT IS ORANGE WINE? When do they add the oranges in? Never, but you'd be surprised how often we hear that! An Orange Wine is a skin contact white wine, essentially a white wine made like a red. The skins of the white grape are added back to the juice instead of being whisked away leaving nice clear wine.
This results in a deeper colour, and some really interesting aromas on the nose and flavours on the palate. They make for stunning food wines and are generally built for sipping slowly rather than glugging in the sun.
