Nero d'Avola

Nero d'Avola, wild and untamed but here it's somehow elegant & sophisticated. Yummo.

Wow - this is some high end Nero, all of the rsutic charm of the grape but with a shimmering tension between the fresh acid and pristine fruit. Game changer.

Never heard of this grape (Perricone) before this, in fact, we are just putting it into the Nero category because we will never find another! Dark, inky, savoury, with licorice character - great sipping food wine. 

Superb intro to the world of Nero d'Avola - think rustic version of Aussie Shiraz, big berry splash but with bits of cocoa and leather.

Due to a lot of sun and warmth on Sicily we are expecting a full-bodied red wine. And that is exactly what the Terre Normanne is!
