Gamay
Pronounced (ga-may) Red grape that is the main constituent of Beaujolais, the region South of Burgundy. Long thought of as a poor cousin of Pinot Noir, it shares similar characteristics - low tannin, high acid. Capable of great complexity and detail. Now one of the last bastions of value in the wine world as an alternative to Burgundy.
Domaine Saint Cyr Charnay Beaujolais
Utterly smashable Gamay, light, unfiltered, smashable but still a serious bit of Bojo especially for the money.
